Soap & Glory 'Lid Stuff' Review

Hello All!

I am coming at you with a review today!
This product has become one of my everyday essentials over the past week or so. I've been meaning to review it for a while now but I wanted to wait until I'd been using it long enough for me to do a post! There's no point in using something once and doing a review on it, you need to give it time!

This product is a neutrals quad by Soap & Glory and it's called 'Lid Stuff'.

I just love the packaging!

I believe this quad comes in 3 shades going from lighter to darker colours. I got the one called 'whats nude' which i believe is the lighter one.

First off, I'm a big fan of the packaging. The transparent lid makes it easier to see what exactly you've selected for your eyes in the morning. We all have those mornings where you're half asleep and in a rush, just trying to pick anything and put it on quickly to be out the door. Yes, this is a great help! I no longer have to fumble through all my quads trying to find the right one. The packaging is also very sturdy and doesn't open easily, making it perfect for travelling with.

'Whats nude'

On the back of the quad it says '8 hour wear eyeshadow'. Now as much as I love this palette, I don't agree with that. I have used this palette both with and without a primer, just to see how well it worked. Like most eyeshadows, these do crease after a few hours if you haven't used a primer. But considering this is a drugstore brand, it wasn't terrible but I would recommend using a primer or an eye base (my personal choice would either be maybelline colour tattoo in 'on and on bronze' or the urban decay primer potion'!) first.
They do come off pretty sheer at first but you can build them up. This may be a negative thing for some of you but personally I love that about it. You can add just a wash of colour on lazy days or you can build them up to be very strong and smokey.

With 3 mattes and 1 shimmer this is the perfect everyday palette.

❤ 'Vanilla' is great for highlighting the brow bone and in the inner corners of the eye
❤ 'Mudhoney' is what i've been using to fill in my brows, because it's matte it does the job well!
❤ 'Aubersheen' is the shimmer shade. It's a great everyday colour
❤ 'Pink T' is good for all over the lid

I don't know about you but if I can find anything to replace 'Satin Taupe' eyeshadow by MAC, I will as it is my favourite. I think 'Aubersheen' is an excellent dupe for that. Obviously these shadows aren't quite as pigmented as the MAC ones but they're a good runner up! At £10 each, MAC shadows aren't the most affordable. Which is why i'm so happy I came across this quad. You get 4 shadows for the price of 1 MAC one - a great deal!

Just to prove my point, Here is a swatch of each of them:
Similar right?!
I will definitely be repurchasing this palette when it runs out. I cannot fault it - I recommend you give it a try!
It retails at £10. I bought it from Boots.  << I've dropped a little link there for you, should you want to check it out. (I suggest that you do!)

Thankyou for reading, I'll see you next time!
Love Sophie
